If you're looking for a gentle sweeper that glides along effortlessly then don't look here. On the other hand, if you want a no-frills upright with a good amount of power for day-to-day cleaning then this is most certainly for you.
Designed for commercial use, the Eureka� Sanitaire works well for everyday cleaning. Features a solidly built body, a folding (and locking) handle, a round carry handle built into the frame and an auto shut-off circuit in case of clogs. Even the attachment hose is quality and refuses to kink for me. Also, the brush-head motor can be switched off while the vacuum motor is still going... a real plus.
I use this sweeper every day in a two story family home that includes six cats. (Yes... SIX!) This means sweeping carpeting and bare floors, plus cleaning the upholstery with the included attachments. Not only do I have no complaints with the Eureka� Sanitaire, but I am honestly impressed with this vacuum. (And you just have to like the sporty red color too...)
